INFO, the Regional Development Agency of the Region of Murcia (Spain), organises Iknowledge Forum, an international event to be held in Cartagena (Spain) on the 3rd-5th of October. This event aims to gather these entities and improve innovation and competitiveness in enterprises. Free Registration for Technology Centres is already open, which includes active participation in roundtables, networking activities, a technology fair, a project exhibition space, and a brokerage event for international technology cooperation, supported by the Enterprise Europe Network.
Experts and Technology Centres will debate in four roundtables on the latest trends in technology and innovation, identifying new opportunities and challenges on four main topics:
- Smart & connected devices
- Collaborative robotics & advanced industrial automation
- Immersive experiences – metaverse, web3.0, etc.
- Energy transition, climate change & sustainability.
IKNOWLEDGE Brokerage Event 2022 will be also held within the framework of this Forum running several scheduled bilateral meetings in which Technology Centres will have the opportunity to forge strategic alliances for future technological cooperation and international R&D projects. This Brokerage Event will focus on five main subjects:
- Advanced materials
- Circular economy
- Digitalisation
- Green energy
- Water technologies
But this Forum also offers additional active participation through a Technology Fair, which will be also available for those Technology Centres willing to show their prototypes, research results or capabilities in the Congress Centre “El Batel”. A Project Exhibition Space let Technology Centres showcase relevant R&D projects in a “poster” format, helping them to disseminate their results at international level.
A visit to NAVANTIA, a world-leading marine engineering company, is one of the activities in the social agenda, which also includes a Networking Dinner and an immersion experience at the Roman Theatre of Cartagena.
The forum gathers the most relevant actors as strategic partners at regional, national and European level: EEN, EURADA, Foro ADR (Spanish Association of Development Agencies), FEDIT (Spanish Federation of Technology Centres), CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technology Development) and the Network of Technology Centres of the Region of Murcia.
Technology Centres are Research & Technology Organisations fundamentally oriented towards the technological development of companies and the increase in their competitiveness through the creation, development and transfer of innovative solutions, technology and scientific-technical knowledge to the business sector, from which part of their financing comes. Most of these entities are “non-profit” organisations.
